- In this episode where Rex and Weevil are saved by Duke Devlin, Weevil says to Duke "Take us to the bridge.", which is a reference to Duke's SexyBack theme.
- The Episode title is a play on the "Mad Max" movies. Conversely, Tristan namedrops the tagline "What a Lovely Day" from the 2015 Critically acclaimed sequel, Mad Max Fury Road.
- Valon points out Doma's plan using bikers to kill Yugi's group makes no sense. Raphael tells him its because they're anime (filler).
