  • The episode title is a reference to the 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
  • Yugi's "a very particular set of skills" speech is a parody of a famous scene from the movie Taken.
  • The scene where Yami rides off on the horse is a reference to a Viva Piñata commercial, which featured Dan Green voicing a "magical piñata". LittleKuriboh did a video using sound from the commercial put to footage from Yu-Gi-Oh!.
