- Noah saying "what a digital dummy!" when watching Nesbitt's duel is a callback to an actual line said by Mokuba in the 4kids dub. It is an ongoing joke in the series for characters to say this line, with it first being seen in episode 26.

- The dialogue "I love you!" / "I know" is from The Empire Strikes Back, right before Han Solo meets a fate similar to Tristan's.
